In 2004, Brad had a life threatening accident that has resulted in him having to recover from a traumatic brain injury, short-term memory loss and all-in-all has had to relearn how to do everything all over again.
We came to Gold's Gym in May 2007, after it was recommended by Brad's primary doctor that he needed to start a vigorous work-out program to regain body strength, improve his balance, muscle tone, increase his energy level and to work on very poor balance issues.
After having a consultation with Steve Pacheco, Club Manager, to explain Brad's circumstances and to discuss our goals, Steve immediately identified David Hansey as an outstanding personal trainer that would work very well with Brad's personality and who would be very patient with Brad and his disabilities.
After working with Dave, Brad has made tremendous progress in the last 8 months and has even begun to walk a little without his walker. Brad enjoys going to the gym and looks forward to working out with Dave. He has more energy, strength and stamina. His core balance has improved significantly. Helping Brad achieve his goals speaks volume of the commitment Dave has to his clients. Even though Brad's balance is still not 100%, it has improved tremendously since working with Dave.
Therefore I would highly recommend Dave and endorse Gold's Gym as a valid therapy setting for any individual with certain disabilities.
Thanks to Dave and the Staff of Gold's Gym.
